Everyday
Men fight a battle,
A silent battle to be honest.
Day in, Day out
They fight to survive.
The battle is not against
Women, lust, alcohol or money
But rather it’s against the one and only, Depression
Year after year
He strangles our fathers or husbands
To their last breath of life.
Men being men
They tackle the issue alone,
Yet their loss hurts their loved ones.
Daily they consume themselves
To self isolation and silence.
Thinking that it’s the key
While it’s actually taking a blind leap into the valley of death.
